At BarterSetu, we believe in flexibility and fairness. Our Cancellation Policy outlines the conditions under which users can cancel barter transactions, service listings, or premium services (if applicable). Since we act as a facilitator, not the owner of listed items or services, cancellations must be handled carefully to maintain trust among users.

1. Cancellation by Users

a. Before Confirmation

• Any user (offeror or receiver) may cancel a barter transaction before it is confirmed by both parties without penalty.

• You can cancel via your dashboard under "My Exchanges" or by messaging the other party.

b. After Confirmation

• Cancellations after mutual confirmation require both parties’ agreement.

• If one party unilaterally cancels after confirmation, their account may be flagged, especially for repeated violations.

2. Cancellation of Listings

Users may cancel or remove their own listings (products/services) at any time, provided that:

• The listing is not currently under an active exchange request

• There are no pending obligations related to the listing

3. Cancellation of Premium Services (If Applicable)

If BarterSetu offers paid features (e.g., promoted listings, membership plans):

• Cancellations are allowed within 24 hours of purchase, provided the service has not been used.

• No refunds are issued once the service is active or consumed.

4. Non-fulfillment & Auto-Cancellation

BarterSetu reserves the right to auto-cancel a transaction in the following cases:

• No action is taken by either party within 5 business days of match confirmation

• Clear evidence of fraud, misrepresentation, or violation of platform rules

• Repeated complaints about a user not honoring their commitments

5. Disputes Following Cancellation

If a disagreement arises due to a canceled transaction:

• Try to resolve the issue amicably with the other party

• If unresolved, escalate the issue to connect@bartersetu.com

• BarterSetu may intervene at its discretion, but does not guarantee a resolution

6. Misuse of Cancellation

BarterSetu monitors cancellation behavior. Frequent or unjustified cancellations may result in:

• Temporary suspension of exchange privileges

• Removal of listings

• Permanent ban from the platform for serious or repeated misuse
