Shipping policy

BarterSetu is a barter marketplace that connects users to exchange goods and services directly. We do not ship, store, or handle any items listed on the platform. However, we offer the following guidelines to help users manage their own shipping responsibilities smoothly and fairly.


1. User-to-User Responsibility

All shipping of physical goods is the sole responsibility of the parties involved in the barter exchange.
BarterSetu does not handle logistics, courier services, or packaging.


2. Shipping Agreement

Before confirming a barter transaction, both users should clearly agree upon:

  • Who bears the shipping cost (sender, receiver, or shared)

  • Shipping method (courier service, hand delivery, etc.)

  • Expected delivery timeline

  • Tracking information, if applicable

We recommend that all agreements be documented in writing via BarterSetu’s chat/messaging system.


3. Recommended Best Practices

  • Use reliable, trackable shipping services to avoid disputes

  • Share tracking numbers as soon as the item is shipped

  • Package items securely to prevent damage

  • Keep proof of shipping (receipts, courier slips, etc.)


4. Delivery Timeframes

As a decentralized barter system, delivery time depends on the mutual agreement between users. Typical factors affecting delivery include:

  • Distance between users

  • Courier service speed

  • Packaging/handling time

BarterSetu does not guarantee or control delivery timelines.


5. Shipping Disputes

In case of shipping-related issues (delays, lost/damaged items):

  • First, attempt to resolve the issue directly with the other party

  • Report unresolved issues to connect@bartersetu.com with evidence (tracking info, chats, photos)

BarterSetu may offer mediation but is not liable for compensation or reimbursement.


6. International Shipping

BarterSetu does not recommend international exchanges unless both parties fully understand and agree upon:

  • Customs duties and taxes

  • Shipping regulations

  • Import/export laws

All legal compliance and associated costs are the users’ responsibility.


7. Digital Goods

For digital goods or services, no shipping is required. These should be delivered via:

  • Email

  • Download link

  • Direct file sharing through BarterSetu’s platform or other agreed means


8. BarterSetu Liability

BarterSetu is not liable for:

  • Lost, delayed, or damaged shipments

  • Incorrect shipping addresses provided by users

  • Fraudulent or misrepresented items

We act only as a neutral platform provider.

Minimum Delivery Time: 2 to 5 business days


Maximum Delivery Time: 10 to 15 business days

Note: Delivery time may vary based on the seller’s location, buyer’s location, product type, and logistics provider.
